Clever Titles Are Not My Strong Suit

After I-don't-know-how-long of saying I wanted to go to the aquarium, making plans to go and never actually getting out there, I finally made it! Ben came down for a few hours on Saturday and we ventured to see the fishies. I got a little camera happy because everything was so colorful and fun looking. Overall? Super fun time. I didn't like the spider exhibit, though... Gross. Furry creepy crawlies are so not my thing.

Clownfish are the best fish.

After the aquarium I had to go to work which was a bummer for about the first five minutes, but then I remembered how much I love my job and the awesome people with whom I work and got happy again. It was busier than I have ever seen Neilsen's, and we were short staffed by two people but we managed to do a pretty good job with minimal complaints/spills/mental breakdowns/murders. I'm pretty proud of us.
After we finally got out of there Kate, Chris, Josh, Josh and I went to Shogun for some delicious late night sushi. It was much needed, and terribly entertaining. I'm sure the table busser absolutely hated us after we left.
I blame Pitt.
Edamame the Turtle

Plate, bowl, Edamame, and three Jones sodas...

Chris and Kate are so damn adorable together I couldn't help but get a little emo after seeing how completely perfect they are. That's the kind of love I want to wait for. I love seeing their happiness.

Went shopping today. What the hell kind of mall isn't open on Sundays?? Damn you, City Creek. I knew there was a reason not to shop there. I suggest a boycott. As always, Gateway came through for me and I found some new shorts and some other things I've been needing. Still didn't find everything, though so I'll have to go to Fashion Place tomorrow (which is really today, but it's not yet The Aftersleep so basically still tomorrow) to satisfy my desires. I have found that I am able to stop indulging in every one of my vices but shopping. Maybe because I haven't actually tried. Lots of purple was added to my closet today.
It appears as though whenever my phone is trying to notify me of something important, I seem to miss it. It's stupid, though because I always see the trivial little updates that I'm inundated with on a daily basis. My mom sent me this picture as I was in Urban Outfitters...

Surprise Visitor dropped these at my house today.
An upstanding young man in a sage green button down, black slacks and dress shoes just showed up out of the blue to see that these were delivered to me. I always miss things like this; I swear, I have the worst timing ever. I have no idea what on Earth I could have done to deserve such gorgeous flowers, but I sure do feel special! They look so pretty on top of my dresser. Also: my grandma is adorable and tiny.
When I got back a few hours later I called my Surprise Visitor to thank him, of course and se we ended up watching Yes Man and going to see the baby animals at Wheeler Farm. The little lambs were adorable! They were all hoppy and prancy. Too cute for words; would have taken pictures, but my phone was almost dead. I really should get a digital camera that didn't have bloody mary spilled all over it. Good thing my birthday is coming up soon...
I'm thinking of doing the Yes Man thing. I guess it would be Yes Woman, though. Of course I'll keep myself safe and not do anything stupid... But it might be fun to say yes to more things. Maybe I'll try it AFTER my Logan/Tremonton adventures this weekend. Yes, I'm going up *again*. Funny how pretty much the only thing that has changed up there in two years is some of the people.
On that note, I will shut up about myself and leave you with a photo of my geriatri-kitty in my first halloween costume (it's a pumpkin, not a carrot). If you're reading this, I hope you're having a most excellent and adventure-filled time of your life. (:
He looks so pleased. Not.
