So today was officially awesome. As much as I expected this week to drag on like the last few hours leading up to Christmas for a six year old, my efforts to make the most of my last week of being 20 have actually been pretty great.
I started out my day by getting up a bit earlier than usual. That rocked because I have been feeling a little lethargic and lazy lately because I haven't really had a good reason to get up. Making my own reason to be an early riser needs to be my new goal.
I then made a trip to Beans and Brews by Liberty Park to meet up for a morning time coffee/ stretch in the park with my totally awesome yoga teacher/buddy. He's a chill guy; I really like it when we get to talk. He just got back from D-rocks and it was interesting to hear all about it from a part-time festie.
He shared a few of his favorite passages from the Gita that I let him borrow and we had a little talk about our different interpretations before we started stretching.
I really adore his yoga style. Everyone does it a little differently and so far his is my favorite out of all the teachers I've had. We even tried a little acro yoga! Trying a little bit just made me want to learn more and more, though. I'm becoming obsessed, but there are no studios in Utah that teach it! I suppose I will just have to find someone that is willing to try and figure it out with me. When I got back to my car, I thought I saw an old friend, but I wasn't sure. Upon closer inspection, it was indeed her but we don't really talk anymore so I was too chicken to say hi. Such a sad situation.
After yoga I went to my audition. It went okay but wasn't anything special. I had to scream (which I kick ass at, just by the way) and read one line. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Funniest thing about it, though was that I went to high school with the editor. He remembered me, but did NOT seem happy to see me. I'm hoping my irritating high school self will not interfere with my chances of landing a role. It would be so awesome to have my very first IMDB credit!
Made tasty spring rolls with fammalee after work. I find it mildly funny how they disregard me when I'm there but as soon as I leave the table I become the topic of conversation. Oh well, being the only one under 40 my whole life has made me accustomed to it.
I swear I'm going to have visually interesting posts again just as soon as my camera arrives. Yay for birthday presents to myself! I sure do miss taking pictures.
Acro Yoga!
Now to go shoot those noisy children outside.
Kidding... I don't have a gun.
