Prometheus.

Today was amazing! Not only did I hear back from Elvis about Wing Nutz (I got it!), but I also heard back from the facilitators of one of my auditions (I have a callback!). Baby steps! Hopefully my audition on my birthday will go well.
Work was super slow, and went by relatively quickly for how excited I am about tomorrow. I think it's funny how my level of excitement is usually inversely related to how quickly time passes. Luckily, that's not happening this time. I cancelled dinner at The Melting Pot in favor of a barbeque, so I'm looking forward to getting to see friends on my 21st. Woo, tomorrow!
After work I grabbed pho and saw Prometheus for mah birfday (yes, I know, I'm obsessed) with my buddy... Now, I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but it was not my favorite movie. It seemed like a bit of a non-sequitur, and was unexpectedly scary. I'm a huge horror/thriller fan, but I have to be in the mood for them. Sitting in a theatre with no one to cuddle up to is not my idea of the ideal setting for scary. Overall, I'd give it three stars because the casting was done well, the acting was convincing/not over the top, and it had some interesting visual effects. Conversely, the plot line felt lacking and the only things that were really explained were the ones that absolutely did not need to be. Whether intentionally or not, 'Prometheus' insulted my intellect. This was a case in which the movie didn't do the previews justice. I had expected a lot more from Ridley Scott, and he didn't deliver.
Overall, though, it was an awesome day and I'm so ready for midnight tomorrow. Bar Named Sue, here I come! I should probably find my passport...

Naptime.
